As an immigrant, I was inspired by the French arrival in Canada 400 years ago, personified by Samuel de Champlain, until this current massive immigration. Crossing seas and oceans hoping to achieve a better life is therefore a much less new subject than one might think and undoubtedly concerns the entire history and evolution of humanity.
